Jay Sanderson is the play-by-play voice of the Montana State Bobcats, a member of the Big Sky Conference.  He calls football, basketball and hosts the University's radio and television coaches shows.

A Douglass, Kansas native, Jay graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelors Degree in Communications.  He got his start in journalism as a junior in high school, writing for two newspapers and also starting his own TV show on the local cable access channel in Douglass.

After starting professionally at KWCH-TV in Wichita, Jay taught journalism at a high school for 3 years before getting back into the radio business full-time at KLOE-AM in Goodland, Kansas.

After Goodland, Jay made stops in Ottumwa, Iowa and back in Wichita before moving on to New Mexico State University in September, 2012.  At New Mexico State, Jay broadcast football, basketball, baseball, softball and volleyball on both television and radio.  In addition, he hosted the school's weekly TV coaches shows.

As a respected member of the sportscasting community, Jay has been honored more than a dozen times by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters for Excellence in Sports Play-by-Play and Reporting.

Away from his job, Jay's passions include helping high school and college students interested in a media career get started in the business.  He has worked with a number of students who are now pursuing paths into news and sports reporting.  His hobbies include working out, golf and coaching youth sports.
